2001年に新設された、北九州市立大学（旧・北九州大学）ひびきのキャンパス（国際環境工学部）。文系学部のみの北方キャンパスに対して、ひびきのキャンパスには化学、機械、情報、建築、生物系の理系学部および大学院があり、およそ1300人の学生が学んでいます。
The University of Kitakyushu, Hibikino Campus (Faculty of Environmental Engineering) was established in 2001 in the Science and Research Park Hibikino in Wakamatsu district. It holds 5 science departments and 1300 students.
校門も塀もないオープンなキャンパス敷地内には、学生だけじゃなくて、ベビーカーを押して歩く若いママや、おじいちゃんおばあちゃんがお散歩していることも。
敷地内で楽しめる、四季折々の植物たちと鳥のさえずり。
When stepping out of the building, you can enjoy a wide view of sky, fresh air, and songs of birds at the wooden deck. When walking around the campus, you will enjoy flowers and trees from season to season.
男性的な建築デザインの学舎は、ドアの１枚１枚、廊下の床、トイレ、階段、どこを取ってもフォトジェニックで、カメラを持ち歩くとシャッターを押す指が止まりません。
The construction of this campus and details are so photogenic that I cannot stop taking pictures.
